A Good Day Indeed

Thursday is a favorite day of the week for me and I so love and look forward to this day.
It is my special time with my Grandson Luke ... I get to pick him up from school and take him home with me!! I am greeted with a smile that reach`s to the moon and back -- melt`s my heart! Usually the hallway is filled with children,with the echo`s of, "By Luke:)!"But today we were a few min. early ...

This beautiful young lady was Luke`s 1st grade teacher last year. Every week she extends such loving-kindness to Luke ... She`l say "Luke, where`s my hug!"
She will never know how much we appreciate her, how personally thankful I am for her -- May God bless her 1000 fold!

There is a church next door to Luke`s school that has a Marquee Billboard in front ... I always park near it and Luke and I talk about what the sign says and then we say it together -
I love that moment with him.

May my grandson grow up to be a Man of God, who will serve the Lord with all his heart - Just like his daddy ...

Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord, Is the Rock eternal. Is.26:4

She just started Dance and loves it...

So before she left for dance I caught a couple of photos of her.

On Your Mark - Set - Go!

I participated in the San Bernardino Mayor`s 10K Run!
It was one of the most physically challenging things I have ever done...
But I did it!
It truly was an awesome experience I must say.
I was inspired by the people around me, more over, the friend that I
did it with...she so inspired me by her constant words of encouragement!
I`m so thankful I did it!
At times of thinking I couldn't`t go further I started thinking about my 6
grandchildren that I have been so blessed with --
I pictured them cheering me on at every turn, saying, "go Nana go!
It brought tears to my eyes at one point as I thought about my grandson
Luke and with the many physical challenges he has and yet I never here him say "I can`t"
One thing is for sure -- With Christ all things are possible --
And that includes ... an out of shape 51 yr old Nana doing a 10K!!!

My goodness how sorrowful this old tent is!

Yesterday I entered into the beginning of my world of "Exercise"
Ahhh what joy to lay on the floor and discover the bones I haven`t felt
in a long, long time! Ouch!!!

I want to lose weight and feel good.
Although yesterday was the first day...great things happened within my head...Yeah I did it!!!
The first step is the biggest one, and the hardest!
And so, there is NO stopping me now!!!

So off I go to my "Salsa Cardio" Class!

My goal is to be, inside and out, a Fabulex fifty year old... ;) <---big smile!!!

Taking A Step Of Faith

Funny how when you get a little older in life things change.

I am at a place in my life where I am willing to take a chance..
Be open to what ever the Lord may have for me...take a risk, I quess you
could say...I`m not saying it`s easy..there is hard work involved in being
Vulnerable. But it`s a good thing... Because through it, I seek the Lord and
am seeing Him at work within my being.....changing me from deep inside,
chipping away at those things that need to be torn down...
Although I consider myself to be a pretty open person, i`m finding as "Newness"
becomes a part of my life there are areas that must be dealt with from
the Hand of the Father....
And in the end... I believe, with all my heart, that Only Goodness will be erected!

I remember when all I wanted to do is play in dirt...plant flowers, make the garden beautiful and so on...It`s funny how a little chandelier, some garden decor, a place to set and the singing of some blue birds can brighten up your day.....

It doesn`t take much to bring a little beauty into one`s life....God has blessed me in so many ways that I do not ever take this for granted...in fact, I think about it daily...His goodness and the covering of His perfect Grace over my life...

God has made everything beautiful in it`s time.

A DAY AT THE BEACH......

Today I took off for the day and went to the beach with one of my closest friends.
It really was a super blessed day.....

I am the kind of person who will take any situation and see or should I say, look for the good in it...as they say...if you have lemons, make lemonade, and I do love lemonade!

We did alot of hiking and it really was fun!
That is until I fell....I fell down some rocks. My friend said it looked like I was falling in s-l-o-w m-o-t-i-o-n LOL!
Oh yes, I can certainly laugh about it, even though I was in a lot of pain, ha ha ha....
I scraped my back up pretty good, and really, I was hurting all over...

All I know is....it didn`t ruin such an amazing day of......
Taking in all of God`s beauty through the ocean and all of His wondrous creation
...

The passion to paint.

I`ve been thinking more each time as I find a new piece of furniture about the process of making something that is old and worn and not so pretty, into something beautiful.....

It`s kinda what the Father desires for me..I don`t consider myself to have that

"outward beauty" BUT I so desire to reflect His Beauty within my very being...

So much He is showing me, as I am beginning to understand this crazy passion to paint...

I will try to articulate it another time......

Ensenada Mexico

I had the opportunity to go to Mexico with my church..... It was an amazing blessed time of ...

fellowship, ministry, and allowing God to minister to my very soul..

It was like a cup of cold water,

A group of diverse people, young and old with the most important thing in common...

THE LORD.....

We spent Sat. working at an Orphanage, helping with a variety of things that needed to be done,I washed outdoor tables and chairs the children use and also weeded and cleaned up a flower garden Bed. Acuple of the younger one`s of the group got Baptized! That was a real blessing to see.

Sunday we ministered to the woman and children at a abuse shelter

and had a church service for them

So I spent the day with my BFF`s Mom, as Teresa and her `Brand New`husband, Mark, were away on their very first Marriage Retreat.
Regina, Teresa`s Mom, `Puppy sat`their Dog Rocky, at their home...
So her and I hung out and what started out to be a "lesson in Crocheting" ended up to be something totally different...
Regina, who i`ve known for most of my life, was ever so kind to knit me this BEAUTIFUL scarf, that I absolutely am in love with! Can you tell ?!?!
I will treasure it always....not because it`s so beautiful to me or not because it will keep me nice and warm, but... because it was... a labor of love.......

Thank you Regina for my beautiful scarf and for teaching me a thing or two!

It seems like work get`s harder and harder these day`s.

Matthew 5:15-17 says this -
No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket.
Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house.
In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see,

So If you know anything about me, you would know i`m a Dylan fan. . . . .
I`ve listened to his music sense I was a kid, thanks to my oldest brother Joe, who by the way, is a hugh Dylan fan. I have had the blessing to see Dylan in concert a few times, with my bother...
each time was a different experience, each time, awesome I must say.
We have fun..alot of fun.
The last time we went, which was about two years ago, we spent all day in line...we were 9th in line. . .Yes I counted. . . Time to go in and got right up front...could not have been more perfect....don`t think we will ever match it.

It was an evening like no other....Perfectly planned out by my dear friend Russ,
not just any friend, but one i`ve known for many years....
His heart has been won over by his beloved...her name is Bobbi, beautiful Bobbi,
as you can see for yourself in these photo`s that I have posted, of this most
amazing evening, filled with the presents of the Lord and all of His wonderful Love... the kind of love that can come from no other, but Him...there is no doubt it was an evening like no other.... December 14Th at the Mission Inn, in Riverside, He asked her to be his Bride!

My oldest and best forever friend of 38 yrs. got married yesterday afternoon, to an amazing man of God, this is what happens when we allow the Lord to do the choosing...He give`s the best!

They got married in San Diego, Coronado Island...it could not have been a more beautiful day filled with Gods perfect glory. Sunshine, pillow clouds, crashing waves, all just beckoning to wittiness something ever so beautiful that the Father in heaven has put together, for all good gifts come from Him, and what a most precious gift He gave to my beautiful sister Teresa...My heart is so overjoyed for the both of them, together they will do mighty and great thing`s for the Lord...

As I stood there, I took in every moment of what was happening and will be forever thankful that I was able to be apart of witnessing something so very beautiful taking place for two very special people...

The Lord is so good and He is so faithful, faithful to answer our prayers, and give so much more then what we even ask for....

Twenty Three More Days!

Well it`s coming down to the wire....In 23 days, I will be 50 years old! It sounds like such a big number...crazy. So much to be thankful for...The Lord is so good to me, continually, in abundance so very good to me...HIS AMAZING GRACE, cover`s me daily, moment by moment. I`m at aw of how much He loves me, he saved my life, He gives me life... He give`s me purpose, He has a plan, He cover`s me and has kept me... HIS BANNER OF LOVE IS OVER ME!

My life scripture I hang on to... Jer.29:11-12 says this-

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.

Happy Birthday Eva Nicole~

She was just so very tiny to me the day she was born. I remember thinking, what will she look like, what will it be like to be a mom.

Today being Eva`s Birthday, I think about the day she was born, my first gift from the Lord.

I think and remember the scenario of the day, being 22 yrs old and being afraid of what I was about to enter into...the birth process....the hardest yet greatest experience of my life.

I made alot of mistakes as a young mother...there was alot I should have done and didn`t...there was alot of things I did, that I should not have...And today I will tell you this -

God`s incredible, wonderful, mind blowing GRACE has covered it all....And my beautiful little girl, has grown up to be a beautiful young wife and mommy and she love`s the Lord...she knows Him.

I thank my Heavenly Father for her. Happy Birthday Eva Nicole, I love you.

On Oct.2 1984 the Lord, who is and always has been, so very good to me, blessed me with the most incredible blessing a mother could ever hope for....He gave me a son.
The day we celebrated Stevens Birthday, my camera was out of batteries and so I was not able to take some birthday pictures (i`m sure my family did not mind). So instead I decided to post this most memorable picture of my son and I, taken right before he was about to enter into a marriage covenant with his beautiful bride Jessica. His life would forever change and be enriched in ways he could not imagine.

What could a mother ever hope for in her son? For me, it would be, to have a little boy, who grew up to have a heart after God and lived by his conviction's and sought to lead his young family with integrity...one who will, love, protect, and provide for, at any cost.
Thank you Steven for being that son....
Thank you Lord, for giving me my son....

My dear sweet friend Pam and I took a drive up to Lake Arrowhead.

The weather could not have been nicer. We had a great time of sitting in the sunshine taking in all of Gods beauty that surrounded us.

This little boy asked me to take a picture of his dog, the little boy was so darling, how could I say no!

I have come to have a greater appreciation for friendships that the Lord has blessed me with...it`s so amazing to spend time together sharing in like mindedness of how good God is...

ROMANS DRESSER

I got a great deal a few weeks ago on this dresser. I got it at a local thrift shop on a day everything in the store was 50% off! I paid $18.00 for it! It was this ugly green....I stripped it, painted it black and then distressed it...the pictures really don`t justify how nice the dresser came out...but trust me, it did! My baby grandson Roman will some day appreciate his Nana`s hard work....a work that I call"a labor of love" for Roman.

He is an overwhelming joy to my heart - I am a blessed women...that is for sure!

When I think about all that the Lord has done in my life I am forever mindful of the gift that He gave me through Carly....She is an extraordinary daughter and I have learned so much through her example of living out her faith in Jesus Christ.
Alexis and Isabella helped blow out her candle as Matt and the rest of us watched on....Happy 22nd Birthday Car!
